wwooohoo! I don't remember having so much fun in months.. guys here is my so called final draft, I posted this just to respect the deadline of the competition.. I never thought I could handle color but thanks guys for this competiton I'm totally in love with this.. I will learn this!

Guys this is my incomplete second draft. I am not at all satisfied by my current output. I am not able to bring the result which I have visualized. Its getting away from my idea, but still by seeing your updates I am now a bit encouraged to post it, which matters a lot to me these days.

Actually the basic concept is, Its a sci-fi spaceship which had landed on an island(earth) which is formed during volcanic eruptions/landslides very long back & a tribal guy founds it while some tribal exploration.



Please everyone do comment on my post. I need suggestions.

Hi guys.. this the second draft, as you can see I have added more anatomical strusture to it... I am not good with colors, so spent the hours fighting with it... I tried anything that I could to make it look satisfactory.. still it's not satisfactory to me..

Ok Guys, This is Where i Have Reached So far. To be true Colouring is Challenging. There is still a lot of shading and tweaking left....I created the spaceship in 3ds max and then set a camera angle and then i built the other things in Photoshop

Some won some lost as this dried up sea far east killing many. But the new era has come. The Survived ones are back for the journey. The Seamen wants to sail again and here their search ends!

It's a full moon's night and two mermaids are baskin in the huge moon, the light scrams through the broken ruins of the once sailing container...

finally revealed... it's just an excuse to draw mermaids as I have never drawn one seriously.. I look forward to coloring her!

No, this is not the color scheme... just shaded to get a feel of it, because it's a night scene... had a hard time composing tho...

Hi all. I am Ujwala Deshmukh. This is my final concept idea for the Digital painting competition. This ship belongs to pirates, which had crashed in to the rocks longtime back due to some mystical power. And it is discovered by two travelers.

1 The Painting has to be an Original idea of the Painter.
2 The First Draft ie; The First WIP has to be posted before midnight 29th January 2010. It will show the concept and Idea one has finalized on. It cannot be changed later. This is to ensure that none of the contestants gets influenced in a negative way by others.
3 The Second WIP should be posted before midnight 30th January 2010.
4 The Third WIP should be posted before midnight 31st January 2010.
5 THE FINAL ENTRIES SHOULD BE POSTED BEFORE MIDNIGHT 1st FEBRUARY 2010.
6 Please write your name in the title whenever posting.

Heya guys! Sorry for the late post but I was just running around places. Had real fun though.
Here I came across these videos from the site ' Drawn'. I was stunned. How come these kinda ideas hit ones brains? And then they are executed with more than just what is justifying to them. Gosh! I strain my brain, try to unclog those nerve pipes and think, but I am no good I guess! hehe!

Hey guys! Sorry for late update but I don't have no internet connection for now. The roads in our areas are being developed and all the landline cables are uprooted. So I am helpless.
Anyway, the good news is MY ILLUSTRATION SHOWREEL IS COMPLETED! Haha! I am not gonna make it publicly available, sorry for that, but I hope you'll understand. If anyone is interested you can mail me and I'll send it to you :-). Tell me how you like it.
