Another walk blocking.

Yeah, I can almost see your faces.. "What? another walk?" I seem to be stuck on walks, as a matter of fact, I am. I don't feel satisfied with the walks that I work on...

What I have here is a walk that I blocked yesterday and today... pose to pose and using the time 24 fps, 12f march time... till now I have found this timing very useful [this doesnt means I always use this]

I need help from you guys esp the animators.. how is the spine supposed to flow in these poses? o_O because it seems stiff... help or links are appreciated :D

Also I wanna know what timings you use?

A walk for a change...

Hey guys.. I was totally bored of animating walks for humans.. so thought if I could make something diffrent.. [wanted to test the chilled waters with my toe] so here is a walk I recently tried on a Dinosaur rig...



I don't know why but the maya playblast seems to eat away one last frame in this cycles :(

I learnt a lot of things in this walk and I am actually glad that I thought if trying it.. figured out many essential tricks about "weight" ... timing and spacing.. I am going to edit this post more later on with some figures to entertain you... for now... it's an extremely chilly night.. I am looking forward to nothing but snuggling up in a warm blanket with my kitties..

Don't be unknown, Get known

Hey pals…!! This the fourth Cartoon Cardinal Tanmay Padalikar a.k.a The Bone Collector

This is to the folks who are new in Animation town, BEWARE OF DECIEVEING ANIMATION INSTITUTES. People tend to go for the icing, they don’t bother if the cake is not cooked well rather they don’t bother if there’s no cake at all, now here they go wrong, they fall for icing, this happens due to lack of knowledge, lack of exposure towards animation, this is the point people are missing. Before admitting into any animation institute people should research about animation, people should get known about animation, how things go in animation, what is actually happening in animation industry; now the question comes ‘HOW?’, Internet is the best source. Blogs, forums, consulting existing people in Animation Industry which doesn’t mean animation institutes, etc. can help you a lot, for example Animation Conclave.

Now don’t be unknown, get known.

Talkers and Movers

There, are two kinds of people, the one who just talk- decide and do nothing and the others who do real work. Animation or gaming is a moving business, not just talking. Its a surprise though that by just talking one can reach great heights, but the truth is that work is the real king at the end.
This conclave is a place to show your work and get moving. My words may seem hard but they are true. So whose side are you on?
If you have a talent, don't just talk Move it.

Classes?...not exactly

Well there are no CLASSES exactly, but the learnings we'll have through sharing will be all. I encourage everyone to please SHARE your work, SHOW your work and CRITISIZE others. That's the only way we'll learn and work as a team. Let us throw some ideas, share our R&D, correct people, have debates, have discussions, rebel against those scums and Animate till death!

Welcome to the conclave.

 
This is the place to Critisize and comment , Share and learn. I don’t feel like saying much because I want it to live by its artistic affluence and not just some guys philosophic prattle. It happened before. People say and say and say more, make you feel like something substantial is gonna happen and you wait. Everything is dead. Nothing happens. No one does what they say and everything is forgotten.
I don’t sound very encouraging for the first post which is supposed to be encouraging, right? However fun and enjoyable Animation seems, the ones who swam in its deep water knows how much it takes to be someone in this ocean. So lets get together and form a Team without which we are weak as twigs. Lets create this community which will live forever and will be helpful not only to us but to everyone who follows.
